Brampton Celebrates Pride

Historically, the month of June has been recognized as Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots. Although it has been celebrated for more than 50 years, June was officially declared Pride Month in 2000.

Pride in Brampton is a celebration of people coming together in love and friendship, to show how far the rights have come, and how in some places there’s still work to be done. We are a city committed to addressing the unique challenges that face the community as a result of their intersectional identities, and champions to creating safe and inclusive spaces for Pride to be celebrated.

​​​​​​​​Safety and comfort are priorities throughout Pride. City Hall Conservatory will be a dedicated safe-space and accessible and all-gender washrooms will be available on-site.
